About the Role
CareM Support, the corporate backbone of CareM's mission-driven healthcare services, is hiring a remote Intake Coordinator based in Albuquerque. In this vital role, you'll help ensure smooth, compassionate onboarding for new patients across our network - especially during times when families need us most. This position follows a regular weekend schedule:
Friday 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, and Sunday 8:00 am to noon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound referral calls with professionalism and empathy
  • Accurately collect and enter patient information into the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Verify insurance and referral documentation to support timely admissions
  • Coordinate with clinical, sales, and field operations teams to initiate new services
  • Follow established workflows for prioritizing referrals and triaging urgent needs
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and care partners
  • Document and escalate any concerns, delays, or missing information
  • Provide after-hours or weekend coverage as part of a shared remote rotation
Requirements

What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in healthcare intake, scheduling, or customer service preferred
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
  • Comfortable with EMRs, phone systems, and multitasking in a remote setting
  • Exceptional communication and active listening skills
  • Availability for the specified schedule: Friday 3-9pm, Saturday 8am-2pm, Sunday 8am-12pm
  • Occasional holiday coverage
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare or admin training a plus
