We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Staff Accountant for our Property Real Estate division. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their expertise in the Accounting + Finance industry. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the real estate industry, specifically in the multifamily and commercial real estate sectors. They will be responsible for managing financial transactions related to our portfolio of apartments, units, and commercial properties. Proficiency in MRI, Real Page, and Commercial Real Estate Accounting is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will be required to:
1. Manage all accounting operations for a portfolio of multifamily and commercial properties.
2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
3. Coordinate with property management teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
4. Utilize MRI and Real Page software to process financial transactions, maintain records, and produce reports.
5. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to property management and real estate accounting.
6. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
7. Collaborate with the finance team to implement efficient accounting processes and procedures.
8. Provide financial guidance and support to the property management team.
9. Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on property and real estate accounting.
3. Proficiency in MRI, Real Page, and Commercial Real Estate Accounting software.
4. Strong understanding of multifamily and commercial real estate industries.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to property management and real estate accounting.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.
