UTD NRG is dedicated to promoting sustainability by helping homeowners and businesses harness solar energy, reducing their carbon footprint. As a Solar Salesperson, you will be instrumental in advancing our mission to make clean, green energy accessible to all.
Job Overview: We are looking for a motivated Solar Sales Appointment Setter to join our dynamic team. This role involves driving sales and promoting our solar panel systems to residential and commercial clients, playing a key part in our mission to expand the adoption of solar energy. Hourly + commission based role. $100,000+ commission earning opportunity!
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive sales growth by identifying and targeting potential customers through designated retail channel.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and offering tailored solutions to meet their energy and storage requirements.
• Present and demonstrate product features, benefits, and pricing to prospective customers, effectively conveying the value of the company’s offerings.
• Achieve and exceed individual and team sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the sales department.
• Responsible for scheduling appointments and expanding the UTD NRG customer base.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline.
Requirements:• Strong understanding of solar panel technology and energy efficiency.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
• Dedication to providing outstanding customer service and building strong relationships. • Highly motivated and capable of working independently to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Relevant sales training or certifications is a plus. • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including weekends, evenings, and some holidays, optimized for sales success and earning potential.
• Reliable transportation to manage a multi-store territory within a 25–50 mile radius.
• A minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in using technology, including iPads/computers and multiple software applications.
• Competitive sales commissions, paid monthly, for securing new solar appointments and contracts resulting from your efforts.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods during the entire shift. Comfortable engaging with customers, speaking clearly, and maintaining professional communication for long durations. Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-first attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining focused and energetic. Experience in a retail or sales setting is preferred.
