Hey University Village Students ! Looking for a part-time job that fits around your classes , builds incredible real-world skills, and puts you right in the heart of the action? Spherion Seattle, conveniently located right here in the University Village , is searching for ambitious and energetic students (undergrad or grad, we love both!) to join our team as Outbound Sales Representatives. 

This position offers a valuable entry point into the professional services sector for university students. Located within easy access of public transportation, this part-time role provides a flexible work schedule of 10-30 hours per week, adaptable to academic commitments. Successful performance in this capacity may lead to opportunities for full-time employment. This role does not require a degree and provides an excellent platform to develop foundational sales, communication, and business acumen.

The Details:

  • Type: Part-Time (10-30 hours/week based on your availability)
  • Setting: In-Office (University Village, Seattle)
  • Growth: Potential pathway to a full-time role based on performance, with the opportunity to transition into a Business Development Associate position.
  • Compensation: $21/hr + Commissions
  • Perks (Full-Time): While part-time roles do not include benefits, full-time positions offer Health, Dental & Vision insurance, a 401K with company match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and Sick Days.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Embody the company’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
  • Complete all required role based training.
  • Execute the company’s Operating Model as a best practice.
  • Document all activity and client communication in CRM tool.

Prospect Management:

  • Research new companies and complete pre-call planning.
  • Source and Identify company contacts.
  • Execute new business development calls.
  • Execute new client meetings.

Client Management:

  • Execute both new and existing client meetings
  • Expand client base by developing and providing solution-based options to clients.
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline.
  • Price/negotiate business in alignment with market pricing strategy.
  • Partner with Strategic Accounts as necessary.
  • Ensure Client Quality Control.
  • Facilitate sales and recruiting collaboration to ensure desired business results.

Required Skills: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – you can articulate ideas clearly and professionally.
  • Strong interpersonal skills – you enjoy connecting with people and can build rapport.
  • An influential and persuasive communication style (or the desire to develop one!).

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. In addition, Spherion offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, and an incentive and recognition program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
