LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a JR. Buyer for a temp to hire opportunity with a client in Mooresville, NC. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the supply of materials essential to process, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to prevent shortages and excess stock.
• Process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers based on quality, pricing, and reliability.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to align material needs with schedules.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and address supply chain disruptions.
• Assess supplier performance and maintain strong relationships.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and contracts.
• Work closely with the finance team to ensure invoice payments are processed efficiently.
• Seek opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2+ years of procurement or supply chain experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/procurement software.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles.

Work Environment:

• Primarily office-based, requiring prolonged periods at a desk and computer.
• Must be able to access all facility areas to assess purchasing needs.
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs as needed.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Position Type/Pay: $18-$25/hourly
