LHH is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join our client's team in Chatsworth, CA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1-2 years of experience in purchasing and procurement to grow their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Description: As a Junior Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing school furniture, equipment, and supplies. You will work closely with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality products. Your role will involve managing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and purchase school furniture, equipment, and supplies in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective procurement.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best possible deals.
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules.
  • Assist in resolving any issues related to orders, deliveries, or quality of products.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the education industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and purchasing software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
