The Washington, DC office seeks a Government Relations Director to support our clients' lobbying efforts. Candidates should have at least three years of Congressional or agency experience, such as serving as a personal office legislative staffer, committee professional staff, or agency equivalent. A law degree is not required.
Our practice includes former Senators, Congressmen, and senior staff, serving domestic and international clients across sectors like healthcare, energy, real estate, and more. We operate before Congress committees and federal agencies, handling various issues and clients, including nonprofits and trade associations.
The role involves representing clients in meetings on Capitol Hill and with Administration officials, conducting independent research, tracking legislation, and drafting legislative documents. Strong communication skills, legislative knowledge, and the ability to monitor policy developments are essential. Occasional travel to client locations or conferences may be required.
This position offers mentorship opportunities and skill development in advocacy and client relations.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
