Popeyes is undergoing a bold transformation focused on operational excellence and guest satisfaction. The Director of Restaurant Analytics & Guest Experience will lead the development of data-driven strategies that improve restaurant performance, enhance guest experiences, and drive business outcomes. This role requires a highly analytical, strategic thinker who can translate complex data into actionable business solutions and foster cross-functional collaboration.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Analytics & Data Insights
  • Leverage deep statistical methods to extract insights from operational and sales data.
  • Analyze the intersection of operations, guest retention, visit frequency, and profitability to guide long- and medium-term growth strategies.
  • Develop and deploy predictive models to inform operational tactics that improve efficiency.
  • Lead the collection and analysis of guest feedback across channels including receipt surveys, Google reviews, and contact center data to drive operational improvements.
  • Benchmark against competitor strategies and identify best practices for adaptation.
  • Operational Strategy & Field Collaboration
  • Partner with leadership to shape and evolve the national operations strategy grounded in data insights.
  • Collaborate with field teams and franchisees to translate analytical insights into practical, restaurant-level improvements.
  • Ensure effective communication of initiatives to franchisees and operations teams to maximize adoption and execution.
  • Work with the Operations R&D team to evaluate the impact of process changes on restaurant performance.
  • Cross-Functional Partnerships
  • Collaborate with Training to identify key opportunities to enhance team member performance and guest interactions.
  • Partner with Technology to implement AI-powered tools, such as sentiment analysis, to enhance hospitality and operational decision-making.
  • Innovate data capture and reporting tools to enable faster and more informed decision-making across the organization.
  • Performance Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze key metrics including Guest Satisfaction, Product Satisfaction, Speed of Service, training completions, and brand audits.
  • Lead the development of dashboards and reports used across Operations, Development, Finance, Marketing, and field leadership.
  • Identify national trends and opportunities through root cause analysis and drive proactive solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in analytics with a focus on operational strategy, restaurant performance, or guest experience optimization.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing high-performing analytics teams.
  • Industry experience in retail, food service, or QSR is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for advanced data modeling and statistical analysis.
  • Strong command of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Solid knowledge of predictive modeling, machine learning, and forecasting techniques.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills; ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
