We are seeking a strategic and analytical leader to join Firehouse Subs as Director of Market Planning & Development Analytics for US & Canada. This role is critical in driving our Brand’s expansion by developing strategies for market entry, identifying optimal areas for development, and facilitating new restaurant growth plans for new and existing franchisees. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, this role will ensure alignment across all strategic development initiatives and budget planning to drive sustained brand expansion.
This position involves reporting on and presenting key business initiatives to Senior and Executive Management on a routine basis.
Responsibilities:
· Enhance and manage the execution of market planning, site selection, and development strategy across US & Canada
· Conduct in-depth analysis to support new restaurant openings and strategic development planning for existing units
· Build and leverage advanced analytical tools integrating geospatial intelligence, proprietary and publicly available demographics data sets, and other relevant sources to drive data-informed development decisions
· Develop robust methodologies for market prioritization and site evaluation to identify optimal trade areas incorporating key demographics, demand indicators, competitor landscape, and other market insights
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Real Estate, Franchising, Operations and Non-Traditional Development—to deliver actionable development plans, including development targets and acquisition strategies
Skills, Experience and Education:
· Bachelor's degree required
· 7+ years’ experience in market planning, strategic development, data analysis, franchising or real estate
· Experience in general business management, including understanding P&Ls, finance and non-traditional businesses
· Results-oriented individual that possesses demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, in a fast-paced work environment with a lean team
· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in preparing and presenting strategic plans
· Strong time-management and organizational skills with high attention to detail
· Proficient in Microsoft Office core product suite (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint)
· Experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, R, Python, Jupyter Notebook, etc., is preferred
