Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager or Director, the incumbent performs varied confidential administrative duties. Types and transcribes reports and documents and independently composes responses to routine correspondence. Compiles reports requiring moderately complex data gathering and research initiative. Assists in gathering data for budget preparation and in monitoring expenses and reporting variances. Answers phones, gives information to callers and directs calls. Sorts and delivers mail. Files, photo copies and performs general office duties such as ordering office supplies, maintaining office equipment, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements, arranging furniture and office moves, placing facilities repair calls, etc. Maintains departmental database files. Assists the department Director with special programs/events. High school diploma or the equivalent (GED), one (1) year of related work experience is required. Must demonstrate a proficiency in using Microsoft Office software specifically in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications in a network windows environment. Ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy and handle confidential and sensitive matters is essential. A valid motor vehicle drivers license is required.
